Howard Jacobson's 1999 novel, The Mighty Walzer won the Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse Award for comic writing; his Who’s Sorry Now (2002) and Kalooki Nights (2006) were long-listed for the Man Booker Prize.He has described Kalooki Nights as "the most Jewish novel that has ever been written by anybody, anywhere."
